The creation of “Yuventa” Center (Center for Humanization of Education) in 1992 gave a start to regular activities in developing the System of Humanization of Education and Humane Environment.
The Academy runs the System of Extra-curricula educational work, supports and develops a wide range of traditions.
In a 5 year period the Academy initiated and organized
All-Russia Symposium in Culturology, 8 youth festivals of culture, forum
of the Ivanovo intelligensia “Culture and Youth”, culturological workshop
“From Subculture of the Young to the Apex of Human Culture”, international
seminar, devoted to the memory of a philosopher D.M. Panin, etc.

A great many of displays, concerts, chamber performances, parties and meetings are being organized in Chamber Hall of the “Yuventa” Center, in Exposition Hall of the Textile Design Chair and in Academy’s library reading halls.
IGTA experience in the field of humanization of higher education was elucidated in the journal “Higher Education in Russia”.
“Svetilen” - a group of Old Russian Music choristers, twice the prize-winner of choral music in Hungary and Sweden works on a professional basis within the “Yuventa” Center.
The Academy promotes sporting and students’ clubs activities.
