• From 27-29 May 2003 the Ivanovo State Textile Academy (ISTA) will host:

– the 1St International Scientific and Technical Conference "The Prospects for the Application of Computer Technologies (Computers) in Textile and Light Industries" (PACTEL-2003);
– Interregional Scientific Methodological Conference "Currently Central Problems of Upgrading the Quality of Higher and Recurrent Professional Education in the Field of Textile and Light Industries";
– the 6th International Scientific-Practical Workshop "Physics of Fibrous Materials".
• From 22-24 April 2003 ISTA is planning to convene the Interuniversity Scientific and Technical Conference for undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students "The Contribution of Young Scientist to the Development of Textile and Light Industries" (POISK-2003).

Scholars, teachers, undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students are kindly invited to attend the above events and present their papers.

The teaching staff of the Chair of Russian as a Foreign Language of the Ivanovo State Textile Academy are well qualified to teach the foreign students and have the right approach to bring out the best in each of them. 

The Chair is supplied with all necessary study books and methodological literature.

• The students may study either in groups or individually. The quantity of academic hours varies from 10 to 40 per week. The programme is designed to suit the needs of all those who join this course and embraces all possible linguistic aspects: phonetic, intonation, lexical, grammatical, connected with the development of speech habits as well as business and professional language.
